Bass nematode

Contracecum nematodes are found commonly in older warmwater fishes in Oregon, typically large- and smallmouth bass. They can cause several host immune responses leading to build-up of sticky adhesions in the host body cavity. Contracecum is not transmissable to humans or other mammals.
