Echinorhynchus lageniformis

This parasite was first described in 1938 from the gut of starry flounder. It is known from that host in coastal waters of Oregon. The parasite's life cycle was discovered in 1971, and was found to require an invertebrate host, the amphipod crustacean Corophium spinicorne.
